  • Kids: Check the schools' grades transfer compatibilities with local schools alongside admissions, processes and fees.

  • Ensure all immigration passes & papers are ready to legally live here.
  • Research your housing requirements such as the popular expat neighborhoods.

  • Learn how to commute around.

  • Check the requirements to move here at the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), & the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).  If employed, your employer will get that Employment Pass (EP) for you.  You MUST get all the required documents from the authorities to legally live & work here.
  • An In-principle approval (IPA) will be issued once your EP application is approved.  The IPA may take up to 4 weeks to process.
  • To come here then look for work?  You can apply online for the EP Eligibility Certificate (EPEC) from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).  This allows you to get a Social Visit Pass for up to one year to look for a job.
  • Do comply and provide all academic or professional qualifications & transcripts, passport and a passport photo.

  • Consult your country’s health care for your kids vaccination records to see if your kids need other vaccinations before coming here. Speak to the schools about the academic transfers to Singapore.
  • Research vacancies and then the areas for house hunting. Visit the Ministry of Education's (MOE) International Student Admissions for processes & requirements.
  • Kids on Dependent’s Passes (DP) in qualified schools are exempted from getting Student Passes (SP).  Check MOE’s and the Singapore schools regarding transfer process and special documents required.

  • Endorse your Employment Pass (EP) to legally work and live here. You'll also need the EP to sign a lease in Singapore. HR should have all the paperwork stamped and endorsed by MOM.
  • Submit your passport and white immigration card to your HR. They must provide a Health Declaration Form of which you MUST sign.
